Computer Maintenance & Repair Review - HP Desktop PC S5-1400KR Format Windows 10 installed on a slow regular hard disk

Good morning. This is the formative article "male fox" of the Café Jung-com (a friendly and honest computer repair business trip gathering agreement).

Now, almost all operating systems that are used on PCs, except for the relatively rare things that are special personal preferences,
With Windows 10, it seems that it is becoming more popular, not almost universal.
It was about the end of Windows 7 support or discontinued issues in our industry before Corona Pdemic.

Since then, there have been few inquiries as to whether Windows 10 can be installed and applied even on a PC that is not really in a state.
In particular, if the specification is an old Joseon com or poor, it is not impossible to install Windows 10, but it may be too slow to boot up to an actual average experience, or even simple Internet and document work. Enemy action may be required.
For example, if the memory is less than 2G, at least 4G is set, and if you are using a regular hard disk HDD, you need to add or replace SSD.

It's a story I've covered a few times, but booting up is too slow when running Windows 10 on a regular hard disk HDD.
It's okay if the specifications converge a little more than the upper middle level, but if it is an inexpensive entry-level basic comm or a Chosun com, I think it will not be able to endure it without breathing unless it is a very relaxed and generous character to run without a real SSD.

Nevertheless, there are cases where Windows 10 settings are requested even in such a poor condition.

First of all, this posting subtitle should be considered as "Installing Windows 10 on the HP Desktop PC S51400Kr General Hard Disk HDD with Celeron G550". That's right. In summary, installing Windows 10 on a low-end com HDD is an accurate summary.
The customer has requested the details of this part from a friend of the formative article, a computer-assisted business partner of a computer repair business in Haengsin-dong, Deokyang-gu, Goyang-si.
So, anyway, since your request or wish is more important, we will tell the story of the later contents that we took action to meet.

This is your HP desktop PC S5-1400KR.
It is an LP type slim, and I think the estimated release date is roughly 9 years.
Given that second-generation processors were incredibly popular in 2011.

Intel 2nd Generation Celeron G550 (2 Core 2 Thread 2.6ghz). The memory is DDR3 4G.
At the time of release, it was just treated as a good PC.
Since it was discontinued at the time in 2011, XP would have been faster, and Windows 7 would have been just as good.
At the time, dual-core would be just as good as it was, and quad-core should have been used as a thumb to memorize.

Anyway, it was then, and now it is clear that it is a poor specification. Moreover, the result of the check was that it was a normal hard disk HDD, not an SSD, and you were using Windows 10.

The reason why the customer called us is that it just slows down, and when you open the browser, it becomes very stuttering and an error occurs.

Windows 10 version is very old, 1607 Redstone 1.
HDD 500GB is set as a barrel, and there is a D drive partition that has been allocated as a small and inexpensive recovery solution.
If there is a picture and data to be saved, the partitioning is not properly done, and the D drive recovery solution area has almost 14G allocated, but it will be mana.
Partitioning is the only general hard drive that can be considered as having virtually no valid D drive, so it's pretty close.

Bios has entered the UEFI firmware setup screen.
Product name S5-1400kr, processor (CPU) Intel 2nd generation Sandy Bridge Celeron G550.
As mentioned before, memory is 4G,
Compared to the Pentium G860, the two-core two-thread is more similar, but the clock is slower and the cache memory is less,
Celeron's unique "aesthetics of slowness" seems to be a compelling basis.
Honestly, I may be sorry to say this, but I would not be able to use Celeron. hehe

The HP desktop (although notebooks do) PC select boot device is F9.

Fortunately, the general hard disk status is HD-tune, and the check result is OK.
I am very fortunate. If "current pending" had been caught, it would be necessary to inspect the surface, attempt to contain it, and do something that could be a bit tricky with that object (?).

Even if the optimization setting is completed, it will be slow enough to require a relaxed character, but one of the more severely compelling reasons is the existence of the Windows.old folder.
I would like to have updated at least one or two or more feature update version gaps.
What is expected is that Windows 7 was automatically upgraded to Windows 10 3-4 years ago, or else it went through a huge update in the gap between Threshold 1511 and Redstone 1607.
It won't be a problem for high-end PCs, but it's good for low-end PCs. Even a big update can act as a trigger for the slow aesthetics to become extreme.

The amount of data to be stored is over 38G.
Honestly, I want to be closer. Although it was predicted to be about 10 gigabytes on average as an empirical example of general customers, it is a little tough.
If it is an SSD, it will not be a big time-consuming burden, but if it is an old hard disk, the story will be different.
However, it would take more time, so I can't even say more than the cost that I mentioned earlier. What can I do?

Partition Wizard handling is required. Because there is only one storage device and there is no real D drive.
We will create a D drive in an empty space.
It has been a long time since the D drive setup process. Because, for a long time, there has never been a format or anything like that, since there may be a data record at the back of the actual physical location of the hard disk, the partition wizard proceeds with the task of popping the data area to the front as it simplifies defragmentation. It will take more time.

The D drive is created and we have to go through a difficult backup time.
In the photo, it was about 27 minutes, but it actually took about 40 minutes.
Luckily, it's a late weekend afternoon on a broad weekend, so if it's a weekday peak time, I can bring it up and finish it on my base camp, but it's going to get even harder.

After waiting a considerable amount of time, the backup is completed, and the rest of the drive is empty.
With this, the partition wizard handling has been completed, and it is only now that you can start the full-fledged installation of Windows 10.

Run DiskpartGUImicro, and define the GPT / UEFI partition format with the blank area at the front, preserving only D drive.
Without the DiskpartGUImicroGUI utility, that work would have to be partitioned before the original installation.

Run WinNTsetup and proceed with the format Windows 10 installation.
It may take more than 16 minutes to run WinNTsetup in case it is not a slow HDD.
SSD is usually 10 minutes or less, and in the case of high-spec new products, it is a process that can drop within 4-5 minutes.

At the end of the struggle, Windows 10 installation was set to apply UEFI / Quick Boot setting method to make the booting speed even slower.

The update will fix all device driver installations.
I think it's not an old Celeron, so the CPU utilization in the task manager is so high that it is very useable.
For example, when an old-fashioned vehicle with a low torque output goes up a hill, it looks like a full accelerator.
However, if it was a general assembly PC, the device driver contents were generalized, so most of them are already easily captured.
In particular, foreign-brand PCs have a lot of detailed devices that the driver needs to catch, so they will go a little more.

Make sure the internet is good. It's already connected to the internet, so it will be slow or update, but sometimes the real odd situation is updating, but since the browser doesn't have any very rare things that don't open like offline, make sure to open the internet portal search window with your browser. It is necessary.

Check that all device drivers are installed.
It is probably not a low-end type, so it is a screen with a built-in CPU chip without a separate graphic device (VGA card).
And the Windows 10 version is up to date with the 1909 (19H2) update completed.
If it was installed in the raw, pure ISO method that did not even integrate updates made by WIM,
Up until the update, it would have taken a really long time, and it would have been unhappy.

Sign that the work deadline is getting closer! Let's launch the main page of our homecoming cafe.
If you have gone through my settings, click "Online Support" and our main page will pop up.

The service mission for customers has been completed in the midst of the struggle. ㅡ ㅡ
You can even set document creation applications that you can use universally and need! It has been checked for operation in the state that it has been updated, and there are all files that are backed up.
I can't pull it out to the original position, but I just create a shortcut icon for the D drive
We have applied only a certificate and a favorite.

Fortunately, it was your reaction, and it was your impression that "it was a bit faster." ㅡ ㅡ
It's not too fast, but then it was a very slow and daunting use.
In this case, you can usually say "just change the body" of your colleagues or other companies,
Have you ever heard of such a story?
Nevertheless, I'm guessing that you'd like to use it anyway in that state, and even if you're looking for an article that will be relaxed and elaborate even if it's low-end, read and read our format master's review.
If you entrust anything, it is our duty to do our best with appreciation for everything,
However, there are cases where it is a bit light and honey order, and some cases are hard.
It could be why I am honest. I don't lie.

We always try hard and try our best so that ComSuri AS is a master and format is a master. Thanks for reading.
